a general disposition to cultivate more lands, during the past year there has been a surplus of labor in the Co, but I think it can and will be employed the coming year, there will be quite a number of the colored people that will undertake to manage hired farms.

Several applications have been made for Rations but after talking and advising with the applicants they have made up their minds to try and make out with out asking assistance of the Government

There is a great want of clothing among the women (colored) and children, the school on this farm having been slimly attended during the past month in consequence of the same, & in a good many instances they are barefooted,

The men are very well supplied.
