Teachers are fast dying out and prominent men here Speak in favor of education.  The Freedmens Aid Society of New York have Sent to this place A Mrs. Park And her Son to teach a free School  They will open their School next week.  And will have an attendance of Eighty Schollars, I would respectfully call attention to the great suffering that exists amongst Widdow Women and Children for want of warm Clothing and of shoes.  Many Children are prevented from attending Sunday School upon this account, I would request that some thing be done for them.  There are two day Schools in this Sub Dist and one Sunday School.  One is at Bristol taught by Mrs. Boyd Colored and the other at the Salt Works.  they have an average attendence of Forty Schoolars and are pay Schools.  The Sunday School is in this place and taught by Freedmen.
