I have the honor to make the following report in regard to the condition of Bureau affairs in this County during the month of January 1867.

The freedmen in this County during the past month have been engaged principally in moving their families and providing their homes for the present year.  A large number of them have settled land and are going to cultivate crops on their own responsibilities.  This is going to injure the farmers greatly in this section for at least two thirds of them have not been able to secure labor for this year.  And many who have large farms
