Philip A Tracy - certified by Asst Supt. W.S. Chase 2d Lt V.R.C. Asst Supt Fauquier Co. to be a loyal man who left his home to the north during the war - complains that William A Anderson of that county, after ineffectually endeavoring to lease the complainant's mill - (which he was induced to rent by not having patronage on account of his loyal reputation) and not being able to give the security demanded, endeavored to obtain possession of the mill by force.

That on the 7th Jany. Anderson came with a man named "Ned Rector" formerly of Moseby's command, to which also Anderson belonged, [[strikethrough]] and the [[/strikethrough]] both armed with revolvers, and threatened to drive him and his mother away because they were Union people. Also returned the next day with two men also all armed with revolvers, when complainant seeing them arrive locked up the mill and with his mother secreted himself for fear of their lives.
