Captain
I have the honor to report in compliance with [[strikethrough]] Special [[/strikethrough]] Circular No 6, dated Bureau R.F. & A.L. Head Qrs. Asst Comr. State of Va. Richmond Va. Jany 29th 1866, That the condition of Bureau affairs in my Sub Dist. is substantially the same as when I last reported. The freedmen have nearly all employed themselves for another year (at least all that were desirous of so doing) and I think the wages paid very liberal. Those working for stipulated wages receive from ten (10) to fifteen (15) dollars pr month with food and quarters while those that work for a part of the crops receive from one (¼) fourth to one (½) half, and are furnished [[strikethrough]] team [[/strikethrough]] horses and feed for the same also all farming implements &c required to make the crop
