by providing food for them but not clothing the Bureau having furnished a considerable amount of clothing which proved a great comfort to many who would otherwise have suffered, severely from the cold and piercing winds of this elevated and mountainous region of the county.

In other respects very little if any change has occured in the condition of the Freedpeople since my last report.
