In all cases the whites have given fair wages for the labor of the freedmen & no dissatisfaction exist between them.
The monthly courts have held no case brought before it where the freedmen were implicated. Either as prosecutor or defendant.
The school under Rev. S.S. Nickerson & wife is still kept up & the scholars are learning quite rapidly.
