They promised to investigate the charge & if possible prosecute it. Since that time I have not heard a word against the teacher or the school.
I find the feeiing of mistrust increasing between the freedmen & the whites which I cannot account for unless it is the expectation of the whites to get the entire control of the freedmen & the law of the commonwealth.
