larger crop of corn will be planted.

The Freedmen are working generally on short contracts, by the month. There is no system of written contracts, they being all verbal or no better. 

The school located on this farm and under the auspices of the A.M.A. has been very well attended, probably in consequence of the warm weather.  All of which I would respectfully submit
