I have the honor to forward the following report in compliance with Circular No. 6 dated Hd. Qrs Asst. Com'r. January 29 1866.

One would think that the feeling between the whites and Freedmen in this Sub-Dist. had become more friendly as nothing has transpired between them that would convince a person that an unfriendly feeling does still exist[[strikethrough]]s[[/strikethrough]] on the part of the whites towards the Freedmen, although such is the case, and I have no doubt that should I remain here any number of years hence I would have it to report on the last day of each month that "the feeling towards the whites and blacks was
