I have the honor respectfully to make the following report of "Bureau Affairs" for the month of March 1867. viz:

During the past month there has been a decided hostile feeling evinced, not only against the Freedmen but also loyal refugees, which is encouraged by the newspaper firm in this place. The flag halliads are cut, necessitating a removal of the pole. - The men enter town in full Rebel uniform hats feathers &c. - and if any action of mine meets with their disapproval, they give me the benefit of a rebel serenade. - Loyal Refugees are informed that thier homes will be burnt - And only a few days since a former rebel scout took a horse
