I think that a School would go unmolested now, and if one could be established, so that many of the Freedmen could get enough education to enable themselves to become familiar with the laws, that there would never be a sufficient majority of their enemies in power to injure them in any way, in this Sub Dist at least, as there is a strong majority of White Unionists in the two Counties.
