to the education of the Freemen and that only exists among a certain class of whites who can not read or write and have raised their children in similar ignorance several of this class are men of some wealth but their influence is limited. The most intelligent portion are in favor of education. 

The state of feeling between the whites and Freedmen continues to be amicable and the latter as a class are industrious and are working to the satisfaction of their employers and Bureau affairs generally are working harmoniously
