The feeling existing between the races is apparently more kindly than ever - I hear of fewer cases of litigation between them and as a general thing. but comparatively few (and those but trifling) difficulties have occurred during the month. Planters and laborers are industriously engaged in preparing for the years operations. and all seem currently, engaging in the work -
The schools that are in operation, indicate that the school interest as far as it can be is in a flourishing condition. - The poverty stricken condition of the freedmen is the most serious obstacle in the way of the rapid development of the school interest.
