Application having been made at this office on behalf of Eliza Hollingsworth (freedwoman) who was one of your employees for the year 1866, and among the number that were sent away without settlement. I have the honor very respectfully to request information from you as to wether or not Eliza Hollingsworth loaned or sold you thirty five bushels of Corn about the time she commenced work for you for which no return for said amount of corn has been made her as she claims,

Will you please ascertain from Willing what action if any has been taken in reference to the application. Champions S.O. address is now Forrest Station Scott County Miss. Information of his whereabouts may also be obtained through this Office.

I have the honor to enclose herewith my pay vouchers for the month of December 1867. with request that they may be submitted to the Commanding General for requisite approval, and then forwarded to the Paymaster for payment.

I forward the vouchers this early from the fact that I am in need of the money and hope to receive payment promptly on the last day of the month.
