In reply to your communication of the 16" inst. I have the honor to say that agreeable with your request and upon your assurance of furnishing the required bond, I have this day telegraphed the Agent at Forrest Station that he could proceed with the shipment of Cotton already delivered to him heretofore, seized by authority from this office. Enclosed please find blank form of the bond which will be required which when filled up and delivered to this office will cause the revocation of the order iminating from this office seizing the Cotton &c appertaining to the plantation of E. S. Cheatham. You may be assured Sir that this next proceeding is from the purpose of affording yourself such convenience as it may occasion. You will observe that the bond will necessarily be required to be subscribed to before me.
