Pursuant to Cir No 6 dated Hd Qrs Asst Comr State of Virginia, January 29th 1866. I have the honor to submit the following report of the condition of affairs in this Sub-Dist. During the past month business of unusual importance has been transacted.

Pursuant of orders of the Commissioner of the Bureau action has been taken regarding the removal of all unauthorised tenantry on the following farms, Stafford G. Cooks, (Newtown) Frederick W Powers (Slabtown) John A Jones, R A McCandlish (Bellfield) Thomas Tinsley, H.H. Wynn, and Thomas D Warren.
