received no reply. He is however expected daily from his home in N.C. but this delay he is doing great injustice to his tenants. A large number of families have been removed on application from farms not enumerated in the "Order". It is estimated that not less than 300 families have removed from this county during the last months: to a large number of whom rations and transportation have been furnished by this office, the scattering of which labor to other counties will be of incalculable good to both races. There are a large number who still remain whose condition would be greatly benefitted by a removal, and it is hoped that their great aversion to leaving will soon be conquered. Very Respectfully
