reconised by all the courts of justice in the Sub. District. The Schools in this Sub District is about the same as my last report if any thing not quite as well attended. I have issued more rations during the last month especially to the whites owing to the fact that sickness has compelled two or three families to call upon us for temporary assistance and would not have issued to them had I not known that they were parties who were Refugees from home during the war suffered severe losses thereby and could not get along without help. The sanitary condition of the Freedmen is well looked after by the Surgeon in Charge
