The feeling of distress is fast wearing away the whites are trying to secure the good will & assistance of the freedmen

In all cases brought before the Civil Authorities are presently attended to & justice done the freedman.

There are no schools in this Sub Dis. at the present time the freedmen are anxious to have one opened in this place during the summer.
 
No freedman has applied to me for assistance or help during this month. If they have their health they will be able to provide themselves with the necessities of life.
