any obligations to teach the apprentices by law or to treat them only as their interests might dictate. In every case yet they have been convinced of their error, and acknowledged their obligations under the Laws.

On the whole the prospects of a better and more decided improvement are very favorable. And if they rightly use the power, which is placed in their hands (the ballot) they can hardly fail to be greatly elevated, from their present position and add to the prosperity of the state.
