The Civil Authorities furnish no assistance whatever to destitutes, either White or Black. Excepting the few contained in their Alm Houses, very few applications are made for relief from the County at large, the poor, the old, and the infirm for whom the Bureau provide are located in the Cities of Norfolk and Portsmouth, Clothing has bene issued to 65 persons and rations to 53 persons, during the month. outside of the Hospitals: The health of the Freedpeople shows little change since last report. On the 1st of this month there were 26 patients in the Freedmens Hospital in the City 2 of these died. 6 more discharged and 2 more patients were received. Small Pox from some unaccountable reason
