Salem Roanoke Co. Va. June 25. 1867

Capt Garrick Mallory A.A.A.G
HA Lers Aph Corn'r State of Va.
Capt
I have the honor to submit the following report in regard to Bureau Affairs in general in my Division.
The Freedmen are all busy at present and nothing has occurred worthy of report.
A good state of feeling seems to exist between the whites and blacks and there seems to be no opposition on the part of the whites to the Freedmens Registering; So far as I have gone in the Registration every Freedman has registered.
There are no complaints of want or destitution among the negroes.
No new schools have been organized, though there is great anxiety expressed by the Freedmen that schools should be organized.
I have nothing further worthy of report
Very Respectfully
Your Obj Servt
Miram Sruit
Bnr Capt & a.s.a.c.
