In compliance with the provisions of Circular No 6, Bureau R F & A.L, Hd Qrs A.C. Richmond, Va, January 27th 1866, I have the honor to submit the following report with reference to the present condition of Bureau affairs in this Sub Dist.

During the past week, the business of Registration has been going forward in the 2nd (Court House) Dist which has brought together a large number of both classes.  Throughout the entire time the utmost good-feeling has prevailed.  I have not heard an unkind or uncalled for remark made by any one during the entire session of the Board.  By the returns the registration must have been quite complete.  At the close of the session the numbers stood as follows.  Whites registered without challenge, (307) Three hundred and seven.  Colored registered without challenge (329) Three hundred and twenty nine, thereby giving a colored majority of (22) Twenty two, in this Dist.

I have also been struck with the interest manifested upon the part of the colored people in their labors.  They
