remark, the fact that I have no authority to try any cases is perfectly plain. I always however assure them that I will be present when their affairs come up before the Court.
Rations are being issued to the destitute but much difficulty is Experienced in determining who are the proper persons to receive aid. Much delay is also found in receiving rations after  requisitions are made.

The Freedmen have been generally informed of their registering privileges- and will avail themselves of the same. The feeling between them and the whites seems to be good.

I hope soon to be able to report one or more schools for colored children, as in successful advocation in this division.

I am unable to report anything of special interest
