Capt.
In compliance with Circular No. 6. dated Hd. Qrs. Asst. Comr. Va Richmond Va Jany. 29th 1866, I have the honor to report that the condition of Bureau affairs in Alexandria Co. Va. is very good at present, there is no destitution among the freedmen, except in some few cases of women with large families, to whom I am obligated to furnish subsistence from the Bureau. The state of feeling between the whites and freedmen is good, very little difficulty arising between them.

I am. Captain,
Very Respectfully
Your obd't Serv't
