The instructions contained in Circ. letter of May 28th Hd. Qrs. Asst. Com. Va., have been compiled with; and it is believed that every freedman, physically able and elligible, has availed himself of the right of registration guaranteed by the late "Military Bill."

Pursuant to Circ. Letter of May 15th 67. Hd. Qrs. Commissioner B. R.F.A.L., steps are being taken to bring the subject of temperance prominently before the freed-people. The views and suggestions of the Commissioner have been explained to the leading men of this Division, and their hearty cooperation solicited; it is hoped that a flourishing organization to advance the cause may follow.
