of supporting their poor. The best of feeling existed between the White and Blacks during the session of the
different Boards of Registration in the Counties of Culpeper and Rappahannock Comprising my Division no Collisions
occured and everything passed of quietly. 1725 voters were registered in Culpeper County the Whites having a majority of 120 in Rappahannock the Whites have a majority of about 500. On account of the [[strikethrough]] extensive [[/strikethrough]] extreme busy season (wheat cutting) when the 1st Session of the Board took place it is believed that quite a large number of the Blacks failed to register but it is expected as measures have been taken to apprise them of the next Session of the Board that at that time a full Registration will be effected.

The Colored people and White Unionists have determined to send Mr J M Botts to the Convention to represent the Republican party of this County.

In compliance with Circular No. 14 B.R.F. and A.L.
