4" That there is a great lack of schools in this part of the State. It all points, I am asked, if I can not send teachers to them. In some cases, they offer to pay for teachers if they can be furnished them, in others, they are too poor. Our school is now in vacation, At the commencement of the next term, teachers will be imperatively needed, for Wytheville, Jeffersonville, Marion, Independence, & Hillsville. It will require six teachers, at least, to supply these places.
