Captain
I have the honor to make herewith the required report of "Bureau affairs in general" for the month of August for the 1" Div. of the 8" Sub Dist. State of Virginia consisting of the counties of Wythe, Bland, Tazwell, Smythe, Grayson & Carroll to wit

There has been no particular change in the condition of affairs since my last report. The issue of clothing for the month has been about the same as in previous months & quite limited. For certain indications there is reason to believe that as cold weather approaches the demand in this respect will be considerably increased. Our supply of womens clothing is entirely exhausted & has been for sometime since. Evidence is continually
