Family quarrels have been satisfactorily settled and harmony restored- Serious difficulties brought to a peaceful termination, and in various other ways, the operations of the Bureau, has extended to them great and lasting benefits.

The orphan Children, under guardianship of the Bureau, are properly cared for, and the binding obligations of their Indentures fully complied with.

During the coming winter mouths, a small amount of clothing could be judiciously distributed, among the aged and infirm of both sexes, could it be secured for them.

There have been no cases come to my notice of person able to work and not employed- while the demand and supply of labor is about equal.
