I have the honor to report that the Freedmen have done remarkably well, during the present month, although the feeling against them, by the Whites, is very bitter, This feeling growing out of Political animosity, and hatred, towards the Union Party, which is fast gaining ground, The Freedmen comprising the majority of said party, and are threatened with dismissal, and in many instances with violence, should they presist in sustaining the Republican Party, at the coming Election, No instances of Freedmen having left their employers, or of the employer having discharged any, as yet none
