In compliance with Circular No 6 Hd Qrs Asst Comr BRF&AL State of Virginia, dated Richmond Va January 29th 1866, I have the honor to submit the following report of the state of the Freedmen in this Sub district.
The Freedmen are disposed to be industrious, and are willing to work, some misunderstanding occurs in the carrying out of contracts, but am in most cases able to settle them.
There is very little intemperance in the sub district.
It is expected to have a school in operation in a short time.
