here on are making [[prepiates?]] for the coming winter. Some few have bought lots and contemplate building themselves a home during the coming winter & Spring

Abraham Farney of this place has land and several lots of (2) two [[ackers?]] & offered them to the freedmen & will give them (3) three years to pay for them.

The freedmen have opened their school again in this place and are trying to raise money by paying weekly to keep it up during the winter. A small amount from the Bureau would inshure them a  good school during the winter
