I find also that since they have became interested in political affairs, their interest in "Churches and Schools decreases, and there is no doubt but that intemperance is increasing to a fearful extent, among those, especially who reside in or near the towns. - I am also of the opinion that as a class, they are less disposed to earn their bread by earnest, honest labor.

As to their faithfulness to the obligations of contracts, I am not able to report anything new unless it be that no serious difficulties have occurred growing out of misunderstandings as to the nature of the obligation imposed therein. They seem to have a clearer comprehension
