Reports in compliance with Cir. 6. Series. 1866. states that the feeling between the races was more apparent the last month than heretofore. 

The election passed off quietly. Some freedmen have been discharged really on account of their exercise of the franchise but other reasons are given. 

Temperance Societies do not progress - but there is no drunkenness.
