Since the election many of the whites are very bitter in their denunciations of the Freedmen who presumed to vote unanimously contrary to the wishes and dictation of the white - majority. many of whom have threatened to discharge their colored employees. as yet however I have heard of none that have carried their threats into execution. The Freedmen do not appear to be disturbed in the least as most of them are aware that the supply of labor in this community falls short of the demand and the whites are not yet fond enough of labor to do their own work.
