In relation to intemperance among the Freedmen, I happy to state that I think the evil is somewhat abating, and as soon as liquor gets scarcer, I think will almost wholly disappear. In relation to Education, the Freedmen are getting along slowly as there are but one or two small Schools, most of them study by themselves, with the assistance of some friend. In conclusion, I will state that I have no doubt but what the feeling existing will continue just as good, as at present, if there are no political speakers travelling through the Country.
