Numbers continue to be added to the several Temperance organizations through out the County. The introduction of these Societies was very opportune, as the colored man is about to have the responsibility of educating his children un-assisted, it is all important that none of his resources should be misappropriated.

As a general thing the Freedmen continue industrious. The men, however, are said to surpass the women in usefulness as servants.
