The Freedmen in this Division seem to be adverse to the forming of Temperance organizations, still they are temperate in the use of intoxicating liquors, much more so than the Whites, and a Colored person is very seldom seen under the influence of liquor, and their example in that respect is worthy of imitation by the Whites.
