Alexandria Va. Novr. 5th 1867

Bvt. Brig. Gen. O. Brown
Bureau R.F. and A. Lands.
Richmond, Va

Genl:
I have the honor to submit the following report of the operations of the Bureau R.F. and A.L. in the 10th Sub-District of Virginia for the month ending October 31st 1867.

Rations issued to sick in Hospital 982.

The balance of the material on hand on the first of the month in the Industrial School at this place was made and used to destitute colored people during the month, and the Industrial School ceased to exist as a Bureau institution.

The new school house is ready for occupancy and opens with every prospect of doing a great deal of good, the cause of education is advanced in this sub-district by the activity and energy of the friends of the freedpeople in the northern states.
