In compliance with Circular No. 10 Series 1866, I have the honor to report the general condition of affairs for the county as follows.

Sanitary condition - very much improved since last report, there is but very little sickness among the freedpeople, that of a malarial type; no disease of a contagious character has been reported.

No Rations have been issued during the past month from this office, some few applications have been made for the same (aged persons) but have been referred to the county authorities. One application has been made for admittance to the Alms House, that in consequence of sickness, the same was properly attended to by the civil authorities.

The crops as a general thing have been gathered in. Good judges report that but barely a half a crop has been raised, the crop is principally corn.

The prospects for the aged colored people is not very encouraging for the coming winter, there is a disposition shown among the younger and able bodied colored people to assist
