They however still employ [[underlined]]yellow[[/underlined]] labor about their houses. Also, - The negros complain they can get no land but such as is covered with young primes grown up clearing the interval of the war.  Indeed this seems to be the policy of the large land owners that their lands maybe cleared at low expense.
Some negros who are good faithful workmen complain that some of their former land will not rent their farms, for the reason that they voted the [[underlined]]"Yellow Ticket."[[/underlined]] (the color of the Republican ticket)

Temperance is being talked about at their various meetings, and there is a slight change  for the better, but I think until their people are somewhat better educated, the subject of temperance will receive but a slight notice.
