The Schools are in good condition and those who are attending them, seem to be making marked advancement. In the larger school could be organized at this Post. under the management of the Methodist Colored Church. if they had a building adapted to the purpose. Teachers could be furnished from the local resources if an appropriation could be secured from the Department.

I would remark, however, that intemperance is, in my judgement, increasing to a serious extent among the Freedmen. in this Count especially.
