As to Temperance I am of the oppinion that the Colord people will not form temperance societys, but think that the young might be brought to see the role of intemperance if the teachers of the Schools would use their influence with them.  The young are the only portion of the colord people that in my oppinion can be infulenced on this subject -

There has been but three colord persons tried by the Civil Courts during the Last month that has come to my knowledge, and these were tried for Housebracking after Sun down at night, they were arrested by the Mility Commission and turned over to the Civil Courts for trial, the goods or money stolen was found in the possession when arrested, and the principle acknowledged that he committed the act and devided the money with his comrades
