wages for their Labor they are well Satisfied and contented. There is more than Sufficient Labor for the demand.

there is a feeling of prejudice existing between the Whites and the Freedmen which has been increased since the late Election. The Freedmen are very poor in this Division.

No organization for the furtherance of the cause of Temperance has been effected in this Division though endeavors have been made for that purpose, the Freedmen are not inclined to be intemperate.
