In compliance with Circular No 6 dated Hd Qrs Asst Coms Va Richmond Va January 29th 1866  I have honor to report that the Freedmens affairs for the past month have been very quiet.
the Freedmen are doing very well a large number find employment cutting wood. The Schools are doing finely  The Scholars show marked improvement The School at Falls Church has been closed during the past month in consequence of the ill health of the teacher. It will commence again on the first of the coming month. It is with deep regret that I report that Miss Fannie Gause teacher of the School near Herndon has been compelled through continued
