Brown Asst Commissioner Richmond Va General In compliance with Circular No 6 Series of 1866 Hd Qrs of Asst Commissioner State of Virginia, I have the honor to report that the affairs of the Bureau in this Division as follows - Since my Last report a colord man named Jim. Halden. was shot near Pungoteague by a white man named John. J. Jains, for not leaving his premises when orderd to do so, as was shown by the evidence taken when he was examined by Louis L. Snead a Justice of the Peace for Accomac County - Two days after Halden was shot by Jains, I was called upon by boath White and Colord Citizens of Pungoteague to go their and see that justice was given to all parties,
