Office Asst Sub Asst Commr Maysville Va March. 31st 1868 Col John W Jordan Sub Asst Commr Farmville Va Colonel In compliance with circular No. 6. from Head Quarters Asst Commr Va dated at Richmond Va January 29th 1866. I have the honor to make the following report. The Freedman of this Division are laboring very satisfactory and few complaints are made, in some instances there has been some disatisfaction in regard to entering into contracts to labor by the Year, but as far as I can learn they now enter very willingly into contracts, where the parties are willing to give them just compensation for their services.
