In compliance with Circular No. 6. from Head Quarters Asst. Comm District of Virginia, January 29 1866. I have the honor to submit the following report of the operations of the Bureau R.F. & A. Lands in the 10th Sub District of Virginia, for the month of March 1868.

The International school at this place has been in operation during the past month furnishing employment to a large number of helpless and needy females, but, owning to the serious indisposition of the Superintendent of the Comm,  Mrs H.C. Fisher, no report of the operations thereof can now be rendered.

The Schools in this Sub District are well attended, and most of the scholars evince remarkable aptitude for learning, many having already made remarkable progress on the road to a sound education, In regard to the freedpeople sustaining their schools, that, unaided, they cannot be expected to
